About SQIP

Northern Colorado cybersecurity and technology services

SQIP provides cybersecurity consulting, data recovery, infrastructure help, and local technology services for small businesses, residential clients, and authorized case work.

Company background

How SQIP started

SQIP became a company in October 2024. The name came from a childhood project name and stayed around until it became the business name.

My interest has always been in how systems behave and where they fail: computers, networks, access controls, vendors, and ordinary setup details that create risk.

That interest led into cybersecurity and infrastructure work: finding weak points before they become outages, incidents, or avoidable business problems.

Where the security focus came from

While attending college, I worked in pest control. The work brought me into offices, storage rooms, mechanical areas, and sometimes rooms with network or server equipment.

That job showed how often outside vendors get access to places a company may not include in security planning: offices, storage areas, infrastructure rooms, and vendor paths through the building.

Unlocked rooms, unattended systems, open network access, and informal vendor access can create risk even when no one is being careless. That shaped how SQIP looks at security: software, hardware, people, vendors, and physical spaces all matter.

What SQIP works on

SQIP works on the parts of technology that affect security and reliability: access controls, configurations, network exposure, logging, backups, vendor access, device setup, and recovery planning.

The goal is to identify vulnerabilities, document risks, fix priority issues, and give clients a plain-language view of what should happen next.

How SQIP works

Security work should produce useful findings, documented changes, and next steps the client can understand.

Who SQIP Works With

SQIP focuses on small to mid-sized businesses, residential data recovery clients, and Northern Colorado local technology projects. Many small businesses rely on technology but do not have a dedicated security team.

SQIP serves Colorado businesses, Northern Colorado local clients, nearby foothill and mountain communities by scheduling, shipped-in data recovery clients, and remote clients across the United States.
